Teddy Santis founded Aimé Leon Dore in 2014, and he is still its creative director. He was born and raised in Queens, New York, to Greek immigrant parents, and the label says it is from Queens.

It has three flagships: 224 Mulberry Street in New York, 32 Broadwick Street in London and 8746 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles. Each one has a Greek café, Café Leon Dore, which serves Freddo Espresso.

Santis also became creative director of New Balance Made in USA, with his first collection due in early 2022. Those shoes use at least 70 percent American materials. His own label's caps with New Era carry the Yankees, Mets and Dodgers logos.

Clothes come in XS to XXL, and each piece on its own site has a chart of body length, chest and sleeve in inches. Most of the knits are marked regular fit and dry clean, so check the tag before the first wash. The conversions are on the Aimé Leon Dore size page.

Its 14 karat gold crest ring is made by hand in New York City.

On 13 October 2026 its tops and hoodies ran from SEK 599 to SEK 1,761 in XS to XXL, with polos from SEK 599 to SEK 915 and sweaters from SEK 1,408 to SEK 1,549. Nothing was marked down that day.
