Jay Barton, an entrepreneur from San Diego, founded ASRV in 2014. It started online, selling slim jogging pants, and the label says its aim is to carry the mindset of training and sport into the rest of life.
Its first store opened at 340 North Beverly Drive in Beverly Hills in March 2022, and a San Diego store followed in 2023. Since 2023 it has also been sold in more than 80 Equinox gyms in the United States.
Its silver training tops use Hyosung's AeroSilver yarn, which is made to fight odour and wick sweat.
Tech Essential is its cotton blend with SilverPlus threads for stretch and less odour, used on the relaxed tees and sweats. ASRV says it makes clothes to last rather than to be replaced. Most pieces are developed by its own team in South Korea, where the workers get a living wage, and a few come from partners in Thailand, China and Vietnam.
On 13 October 2026 its shirts ran from SEK 599 to SEK 1,373, its hoodies from SEK 979 to SEK 2,218 and its pants from SEK 1,021 to SEK 2,077. Shoulder bags ran from SEK 880 to SEK 1,725, half of the shelf cost SEK 1,127 or less, and some pieces were marked down.
