For the tennis champion Suzanne Lenglen he designed sleeveless, knee length tennis wear. His perfume Joy came out during the Great Depression. After his death in 1936, the label's designers included Marc Bohan, Karl Lagerfeld and Christian Lacroix. LVMH bought the label in 2018 and shortened the name to Patou. In February 2026 Patou and its artistic director, Guillaume Henry, parted ways after seven years.
