Today's Expedition holds 80% duck down and 20% feathers, rated TEI 5 for minus 22 F and colder.
His son in law, David Reiss, joined in the 1970s, built a machine that filled jackets with down and started the Snow Goose label that became Canada Goose.
Every insulated coat is covered against faults in materials and making for the life of the coat.
It stopped buying fur in 2021 and made its last coats with fur in 2022, so a real fur trim means an older coat. Since 2023 its own Generations shop sells used Canada Goose and takes old coats in trade for a gift card.
Some were pre owned, and each of those shows the shop's wear grade, so you can see the wear before you pay.
