About DIESEL

Renzo Rosso founded Diesel in 1978 in Molvena, a town near Vicenza in northern Italy. It made its name in denim, and its owner, the OTB group, says it changed the denim world. Glenn Martens, who also ran Y/Project in Paris, became its creative director on 8 October 2020.
Each Diesel jean fit has a year in its name, and the year belongs to the model, so it says nothing about when your pair was made. The 1985 Larkee is a straight regular fit and the 1997 D-Enim-M is wide with a low crotch. After them come the 2007 Zatiny, a bootcut, and the 2019 D-Strukt, slim and tapered.
Waists run 26 to 40, with lengths of 30, 32 and 34. That black stretch pair is 98% cotton and 2% elastane. Diesel says to wash it at 30 C on a gentle cycle, and never to tumble dry or dry clean it.
Off the denim, the 1DR is Diesel's shoulder bag, with the oval D logo on an enamelled plaque on its flap. It has a short handle for the shoulder and a strap for wearing it across the body, and on Diesel's Canadian site the nappa leather one is C£344.
In Toronto, Due West at 431 Queen St W carries Diesel. On 13 October 2026 its shirts ran from £29 to £199 and its pants from £119 to £185, in waists 30 to 34. Jackets and coats went up to £927, and some pieces were marked down from the shop's own price.
