Jason Markk started in Los Angeles in 2007. Jason Mark Angsuvarn founded it in the garage of his parents' home. The first product was Premium Shoe Cleaner, a natural, biodegradable solution for washing sneakers. In 2010 the company moved into an office and warehouse in the Arts District of Los Angeles. A drop off shoe care service and shop opened in Downtown Los Angeles in 2014. A London shop on Carnaby Street followed in March 2018. The range covers shoe, hat and leather care. In February 2024 it announced B Corp certification. It also reformulated its cleaners, aiming for USDA biobased, EPA Safer Choice and biodegradable certification.
