Avavav
Avavav is a Swedish label that started in Florence, Italy. Its creative director, Beate Karlsson, builds the label's Milan shows around stunts. At the Spring/Summer 2023 show, models fell on purpose as they walked. For Fall/Winter 2023, the clothes were made to fall apart. At the Fall/Winter 2024 show, audience members threw trash at the models. The label says it is driven by humour and entertainment. Karlsson says it began in Florence for the deadstock there, the leftover fabric of other labels. It makes boots shaped like feet with four toes, and one early thigh high pair was called Bloody Feet. Its second collaboration with adidas Originals was shown at the Fall/Winter 2025 show in Milan. It included the Modified Superstar, a chunkier take on the adidas Superstar.
