About Off-White

The label's design studio is in Milan, and it grew out of Abloh's earlier project, Pyrex Vision, and showed its first collection, for spring and summer 2014, in 2013. Abloh was born in Rockford, Illinois, studied civil engineering at the University of Wisconsin Madison and took a master's in architecture in Chicago.
The label calls itself the grey area between black and white, and Abloh was also men's artistic director at Louis Vuitton. With Nike he made The Ten, ten sneakers released in 2017, among them the Air Jordan I, Air Max 90, Air Presto, Blazer Mid and Air Force 1 Low. They carried the word SHOELACES on the laces, exposed foam in the tongues and orange tabs.
Its arrow logo drew plagiarism claims in 2018 for its likeness to signs used at Glasgow Airport in the 1960s. On 30 September 2024 LVMH sold Off-White to Bluestar Alliance.
