Mike Amiri founded Amiri in 2014 in his hometown of Los Angeles. Before the label, he made stage pieces by hand for Los Angeles performers. Denim is the core of the line, with jeans cut extra wide, skinny, carpenter style and kick flare. The leather pieces, such as the Perfecto jacket, are cut and constructed in Italy. Its first store opened on Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills in 2020, and its first standalone womenswear collection followed in 2021. Mike Amiri was first nominated for CFDA menswear designer of the year in 2019. On 22 January 2026 he showed the fall 2026 collection at the Carreau du Temple in Paris, with Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles as its main reference.
