Y-3 for men

Y-3 is the label the Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto started with adidas in 2002. The Y stands for Yohji and the 3 for the three stripes of adidas. Yamamoto felt his Paris collections had drifted too far from the street. He called Nike first, which said no, and then adidas, which said yes. The first Y-3 collection, for spring 2003, showed at Paris Fashion Week in October 2002. From the start the label reworked adidas track jackets and raincoats in Yamamoto's monochrome palette and oversized cuts. The Qasa High sneaker arrived in 2013, with a neoprene sock upper and an EVA sole that borrows from adidas Tubular running shoes of the 1990s. In January 2026 its fall 2026 show in Paris revealed a collaboration with the Mercedes Formula 1 team.
