Moncler for men
Moncler was founded in 1952 by René Ramillon and André Vincent in Monestier de Clermont, a mountain village near Grenoble, France. Its name is short for that village. It first made padded sleeping bags, tents and a hooded cape. Its first down jackets, made in 1954, were for the workers at its small factory, who wore them over their overalls. That same year its quilted jackets went with the Italian expedition that reached the top of K2. In 1968 it supplied the French ski team at the Grenoble Winter Olympics. Remo Ruffini bought the company in 2003. Since April 2026 Bartolomeo Rongone has been chief executive, with Ruffini as executive chairman in charge of creative direction.
